The quiche is one of the most traditional family recipe’s in French cuisine. This recipe came to me through my French mother-in-law and makes a great, end-of-the-week, empty-your-fridge meal for the whole family.
This is a very basic, easy, beginner-friendly recipe.
Needed: small mixing bowl, large pie pan. Ingredients: puff pastry*, half red pepper, lardon/thick bacon, 3 eggs, sour cream, salt&pepper, 6 fresh spinach leaves, (ricotta cheese optional), small white onion chopped (which I forgot in the video), 1 cup grated cheese.
If using electric stove: pre-heat oven at 350`F. Gas stoves heat rather quickly so you can follow me in the video.
Cooking time: 15 mins.
*Puff pastry (as called Fluffy pastry) can be found at Publix, Wal Mart, Loblaws and Whole Foods. Pepperidge Farms makes a good one.
This video was a learning process, so many things we can improve upon in our future videos. So do stay tuned. 😉 And as always let us know any suggestions you may have if there is something you’d like to know about Paris, life in France or in Paris.
And, of course, Bon appétit!

I LOVE your Blog! I had the pleasure of going to Paris for the first time last November (2015) and it was so life-changing for me! I love to cook and I’ve been making your recipes. I don’t know if this is possible, but could you tell me what brand your quiche/tart pan is and what size it is? I made your Salmon Quiche in a regular 9″ pie pan and it was too thick and took much longer to cook. I have a removable bottom pan now, but I would very much like to have one like yours. Love, Love, Love Paris! Thank you for your Blog, it is just wonderful! It brings me back to all the wonderful memories I have from my visit! Please don’t stop, everything is of interest to me! Penny
